The End of an Era

Well everyone, tomorrow is officially the end of an era for us here at Prekrasne. My main boy Godomir will be heading to the vet to be neutered. He has 1 more litter due the end of the month and that will be his final.

I cannot begin to tell you what Godomir has meant to me as a breeding male. He gave me a fantastic start with wonderful kittens and a strong traditional pedigree. He passed on that great, heavy coat of his, his rounded head, and wonderful muzzle to many of his babies. His lines are now carried on with us here in his 2 direct offspring - Baialyn and Luke. His grandsons/daughters Galahad, Destiny, and the new little one from Baialyn's litter. We now have great grandsons and daughters here, too: Navarre, Nolan, and Grace.

Starting off with a boy that is both gentle and doesn't spray much was such a gift. Now, we start another even longer era with Godomir as my pet. He can now take it easy and stop calling for the girls (all the time). He can eat and regain his wonderful condition. He can start sleeping in bed with the rest of the gang and enjoying his retirement.

So, join me in wishing Godomir a wonderful and long retirement!

It must be bittersweet for you, Sue. He has given you so many wonderful offspring. How wonderful he'll have the freedom to roam and chum with the gang and YOU! It's well deserved!

I am really looking forward to that part, but a little nervous in hoping I'll have the quality. But given the looks of Galahad's babies I'd say we'll do just fine. Big paws for Juuda to fill, too.

Congratulations to Godomir and his very productive career. I'm sure he'll really enjoy retirement - full time access to all of the house and the gang!!
