CFA San Diego Show

Sorry guys no pictures! I left my memory card for my camera at home:(
But here's the news anyway.

The trip was great. I went of course but also Ginny from Inspirada and Alice Wright from Kender - we carpooled and split the hotel costs to make it more affordable. Of course that just left me more money to spend at the vendors.

Siberians were well represented. In alter class there were 2 cats - Kenders Touch of Rum of Abristine and El Esse Chaija's Hanka of Kender aka Shya. Shya earned her Premiership and took Best of Breed in all rings...oh yeah...and she's 10 years old!!! She's also the mother of the first CFA Champion and Grandmother for CFA's first Grand Champion, Siberkot Rocky Mountain. Even at the ripe old age of 10 she is still beating the young cats.

In Championship class there were several Siberians. In our group was Champion Von der Goldenen Sima Shadow, Champion Kenders Faithful Servant aka Bella, Champion Sibirsky Russian Bear of Kender, and Von der Goldenen Sima Rosa. The other Siberian in the show was the #1 Siberian in CFA Jean Sineglazky Angel. Jean did take Best of Breed as he was the only Granded Siberian at the show. 2nd Best of Breed was split between Shadow and Bella. Shadow is a nice, hefty silver male and Bella is a spunky brown mackerel with high white female.

The kitten class was my group. The kitten group was represented by the #1 Siberian kitten Singelazky Yvaine and my kittens. I took Prekrasne Juliet Capulet and Prekrasne Galahad. Juliet didn't get Best of 2nd Best but as a 5 month old girl in her first show, I didn't expect her to beat the big kittens. However, she had some great experience.

Galahad on the other hand had a great day. He took Best of Breed in 5 out of 8 rings and earned the only 2 Siberian Kitten finals in the show. There were 127 All Breed kittens in the show and Galahad earned a 14th Best All Breed Kitten and a 9th Best All Breed Kitten. What an honor! There were some fabulous Persians, a beautiful British Shorthair, an adorable little Turkish Angora and more.

14th Best Kitten - Pat Jacobberger
9th Best Kitten - Darrel Newkirk

We're looking forward to 1 more show as a kitten for Galahad before he is considered a grown up male.
