Tucson TICA Show

I attended the TICA Coatimondi Christmas in the Desert cat show over the weekend and it went quite well. Galahad made his TICA debut in this rather small show and we are happy to say he was well received even as a young, 5 month old kitten. Galahad mostly took 2nd Best of Breed in all rings with 2 other older Siberians (1 is the current #1 Siberian kitten in TICA) switching off at first and third. To our great pleasure, Galahad took home a final of 7th Best All Breed Kitten in one of the rings on Saturday. I was very proud of my young boy.

There were plenty of nice people - I was benched next to some very nice Bengal breeders from CA of Main Street Bengals. It was nice talking to experienced show folks and they were nice to chat with me seeing as I was there on my own.
I also met up with Jon and Melissa from Kokopelli as our young boys showed up against one another. It was nice meeting other breeders and getting to know them. Their boy Nicky did great! While we would have liked to have taken more finals (who wouldn't), we are glad a Siberian did well in the show! Its good for all of us when good Siberians are in the ring! We hope to give them more competition as Galahad grows up and matures:)
Our next show is a CFA show in Phoenix after Christmas!

Galahad already has a start with his ribbon.

Thanks to Tracy in Canada, owner of Bogie, for my great brochures and bookmarks!
Nice compliments from folks on them!

My new name plate so people actually know who I am:)

We will, next weekend is the CFA show in Charlotte, NC. Hopefully both Darius and Gandalf will do well, but first we have to do the much dreaded show bath.....:)

Galahad was a very good boy for his bath and the blow dry really lightened up the color of his coat. Gandalf will look very very light warm brown - even more so than normal.

Thanks Tracy. I'm hoping we have more success at our next CFA show as well.
