CFA International

A little late in reporting but I finally have the post about the CFA International show. It was a great trip and a very good showing for Siberians in general and those from my breeding here at Prekrasne that are now a part of Mystic Melody. I did not take any of my cats along for the show because of time constraints for travel. That was fine because it gave me the chance to root for my guys without competing against them.

Both Gandalf and Darius took home finals of 20th Best kitten out of 152 longhair kittens. Not a bad showing. Gandalf was named Best Siberian Kitten in Show and presented to the audience although his name was read off as Grendel Gremlin rather than Gandalf Greyhame. I guess the judges weren't Lord of the Rings fans:) Darius was 2nd Best Siberian in Show and their relative Sibaris Junona was 3rd.

It was a great time meeting breeders that were just names on emails before the show. Such a great time.

Thanks Judith for giving the Prekrasne kids a great home and showing them so well!

I also had a chance to meet Maria Pavlovsky from Cica cattery in Indiana and Pat Cotter from Shadowheart as well as a new breeder from MN who has Godomir's half sister/Candy's niece/Galahad's cousin. She also has a boy who is a full brother to our own Veksha. Also, I finally met Pam Martin from Solace Farm and saw one of our regular Region 5 people - Tim from Sineglazky who I have been benched next to a few times at our AZ shows.

All in all, a great time with great people.
