Around 2 AM Maggie decided it was time to give birth to our Z litter! She wrapped up the excitement around 4:15 AM - just long enough to keep me from sleeping:) She wants me with her during the whole pre-labor and labor and she is quite dramatic. By the time kitten #5 arrived, she decided the whole cleaning and drying off thing was my job:) Thankfully, she has now settled into mommyhood and is taking great care of her crew. All 5 are brown mackerel or spotted tabbies and at first glance (it may change) we appear to have 4 boys and 1 girl. We will be evaluating the girl to stay on with us here as Maggie will retire from breeding after her next litter.
The Z babies are just 12 hours old in their pictures. We won't do individual pictures for a while.
